Rain starts in about 30 minutes.
The need it fulfills
When the creek is rising, nobody should need a dozen tabs to find out.
The answers already exist. They're spread across weather offices, river gauges, air monitors, transportation departments and town offices, each with its own map and vocabulary. Town Monitor gathers them into one page, in plain words, for the place you care about.
How it works
Each source is read on its own schedule, checked, and put into plain words. Every reading on the page says where it came from.
Your town
One page, every source credited.
Each agency on its own schedule. River gauges are read hourly while calm and every 15 minutes when water is near flooding.
"Well below flood stage" instead of a raw number. The number is still there for anyone who wants it.
Every reading names its source and its time, so you always know who said it and when.
